How It Works

Four steps. On new glass, the sequence is what prevents damage.

Assess The Glass

We look at every pane and identify what is debris, what is bonded, and what is already damaged.

Soften And Dwell

Bonded material gets softened first. This is the step people skip, and skipping it is what scratches glass.

Remove Correctly

Blade at the right angle on wet glass only. Never dry, never rushed, never at a bad angle.

Detail And Document

Final clean, then we document the condition so there is a record if a question comes up later.

Common Questions

Why does post construction window cleaning cost more than regular cleaning?

Because it is a different job. Regular cleaning removes dirt sitting on glass. Post construction means removing bonded mortar, stucco, paint, and adhesive without scratching a brand new window. It takes more time, more skill, and the consequence of getting it wrong is replacement glass.

Can you get mortar and stucco off without scratching the glass?

In most cases, yes, when it is approached correctly. The material has to be softened and the blade has to stay at the right angle on wet glass. Dry scraping is what scratches windows. That said, if the splatter has been baking on for months, some of it is harder to remove cleanly and we will tell you before we start.

What if the glass is already scratched?

It happens, usually from another trade going after debris with a dry razor. We are certified in glass restoration, so light surface scratching can often be corrected. Deep scratches that catch a fingernail typically cannot be polished out without distorting the pane. We will assess it honestly and tell you which one you have.

Do you work directly with builders and GCs?

Yes, that is most of this work. We schedule around your punch list, send a certificate of insurance to your office before we start, and can handle multiple homes on one invoice. We know a walkthrough date is not a suggestion.

Are you insured for job site work?

Yes. $1 million in general liability, and we will send the COI to your office or your GC before we set foot on site. Most builders need it on file, so we send it up front.

How soon before the walkthrough should the windows be cleaned?

As late as you can reasonably schedule it, because any trade still working will put debris back on the glass. Ideally after the last of the finish work and before the walkthrough. Tell us your date and we will fit it in.
